OD Benchmark.com ("we," "us," "our") provides benchmarking tools for optometry practices.
2. What We Collect
- NPI or phone number — entered by you to generate a report. Used only to look up publicly available government records.
- Practice website URL — optionally entered by you. Used only to generate your website analysis section.
- IP address — logged automatically for security and abuse prevention.
- Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for benchmark update emails.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
3. How We Use It
- To generate and display your benchmark report
- To send benchmark update emails (if you opted in)
- To improve the Site and detect abuse
- We do not sell your data to third parties
4. Data Sources
Report data is pulled from publicly available government sources including CMS Medicare Part B, NPPES, and Open Payments datasets. We do not access private patient records.
5. Cookies
We use session cookies to maintain your report during a visit. We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), which sets its own cookies. No advertising or tracking cookies are used by us.
6. Third Parties
- Paddle — payment processing (see paddle.com/legal/privacy)
- Cloudflare — bot protection and CDN
- DigitalOcean — hosting
7. Data Retention
Search logs and report metadata are retained for up to 12 months for analytics. You may request deletion by emailing us.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing contact@odbenchmark.com.
9. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect changes.
